Dear Jane

Here are two Dear Jane blocks; both are paper pieced by hand. Instead of pins I used cello tape/Scotch tape to keep the little parts in place while sewing and I found that so much easier. This is block K-12 Doris's Dilemma.

This next one is L-7 Town Square. I scanned these pictures instead of photographing the blocks first with my camera, and this turns out to be so much quicker and the quality of the images is the same or even better although I noticed it depends on what kind of color you're scanning, since not all colors scan well.

Great idea for keeping the pieces together. I would never have thought of using sellotape

Beautiful! Such tiny details.
Someone was recently showing me how to put a binding on using elmers glue to hold it in place. Check out You Tube type in Binding the Angel. It is a three part video. It might really help on pieces like this too. It's a thought.

They both look great Kieny - nice that you are back working on your Dear Jane a bit -- I consider mine a lifetime project -LOL

Tape sounds like a good way to hold the pieces together. I use paper but I take the paper off before I sew the seams together.

Have a great week.

Dear Dear Jane, know wonder they are so called. One day the bug will hit me and I will have to "ave a go mate ". Enjoyed the children's sign in the toilet.
